“In terms of production technology, we  are breaking new ground in an increasingly networked world”

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, soul of Brazil and home of MAGO FILMS.

With our film production company and production service agency we are breaking new ground.

Our passion here at MAGO FILMS is to provide insights into the fascinating stories of Brazil and its people. Let’s open the door to the reality of this beautiful country together – far away from the clichés.

We put our heart and soul into transforming exclusive content and images into films that we produce in cooperation with our network of directors, DOPs, editors, writers and journalists.

Our multilingualism and intercultural background shape our self-image, which makes it easy for us to translate our clients’ ideas for the crew and protagonists here on location. Because communication in international productions is not only happening on the linguistic level.

In terms of production technology, we are breaking new ground in an increasingly networked world by offering the possibility of remote shooting, for example. This means that we can connect our clients live and they can actively follow the shoot here on location and help to shape it according to their wishes. This opens up completely new options for cooperation and also saves costs.

Our large network gives us the possibility to implement each project tailor-made. Whether news, documentaries, feature films, TV shows, video clips or commercials…we have the right creative people.

Just get in touch with us and together we will see what we can do!

the minds behind MAGO FILMS...

SIMON, was born near Stuttgart in 1980. While studying communication design, he worked at the Zapata Club and began producing events that became the most extravagant and elaborate in the club’s history. After an excursion into the fashion industry, Simon joined Held Vodka in 2009, where he initially took care of marketing and sales in southern Germany. From 2011 he took over the management in Berlin. During a stay in Brazil in May 2014, he fell in love with the city of Rio de Janeiro, where he moved in December of the same year to face new challenges.

Because of his open-mindedness, his talent for improvisation and the fact that he now speaks fluent Portuguese, he is known among the locals as the most Brazilian German of Rio. Simon has also become the ideal contact person, local producer / fixer and translator for international TV productions in Brazil.
